Korea’s largest virtual currency exchange, Korbit, has announced its support for Ethereum Classic.

Users will now be able to trade and purchase ETC for KRW (Korean Republic Won). In light of adding the new coin, the exchange will waive all fees (exchange and conversion) for trading until further notice.

The decision for their support comes after a high demand from users around the world. With a handful of exchanges adding the ETC token to their platform, Korbit did not want to make a rash decision.

“A couple of other exchanges have enabled trading of the Ethereum Classic token. We are still considering whether to add support for ETC and we are currently monitoring the situation,” the Korbit Team stated.

However, the exchange did enable withdrawals of ETC for its users.

The support for Ethereum Classic on Korbit could open the door for other Korean and Asian exchanges to add ETC to their platform.
