Ethereum’s inventor and co-creator, Vitalik Buterin, joins Fred Ehrasm, co-founder of Coinbase, and Chris Dixon, General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, for a podcast.

The entrepreneurs cover the ins and outs of Ethereum, breaking it down for the novices. During the discussion, the men point out how Ethereum and applications built on the blockchain allow developing businesses to thrive due to crowdfunding. The success of these crowdsales is helping more and more people receive funding from their peers, instead of waiting for investors.

The conversation then turned to the recent hard fork, which led to the split of the Ethereum blockchain. Buterin admits there were a few things they could have done better, such as prevent transaction replay. He also touches on how they will prepare in the future. Buterin went on to say that he was a bit surprised by the acceptance of Ethereum Classic, especially after being inactive for the first four days. However, he does see multiple benefits for having these two chains going forward.
