Shibarium Nears 3-Month High in Deployed Contracts as Developer Activity Surges

  • Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer two blockchain, is nearing a 3-month high in smart contract deployments, driven by increased developer activity after the launch of the ShibDev Portal.
  • Additionally, Shiba Eternity has undergone significant updates to improve gameplay, with new features and bug fixes enhancing the user experience.

Lucie, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, took to the X platform to share updates about Shibarium. Since its launch late last year, Shiba Inu’s layer two blockchain has made significant strides. According to Lucie, Shibarium has recorded a surge in deployed contracts. In addition, developers’ interest in the blockchain has also seen an uptick.

According to Lucie, Shibarium hit a noteworthy threshold nearing a 3-month high in the number of contracts deployed in the network. The increasing number of deployed contracts indicates a growing trend of developers flocking to the network to create and deploy DApps.

Data from Shibariumscan, the blockchain’s analytical platform, provides substantial evidence for this proposition. According to the platform, Shibarium recorded 34 smart contracts on September 5th, just a little bit shy of its three-month record of 36 contracts recorded on July 25th. While some may belittle the slim margin between these two dates, the trend showcases a rising interest in Shibarium’s ecosystem.

This uptick is not just a lucky break; the trend coincides with the recent developments made to the network. Early this month, Shiba Inu launched the Shiba Inu developer Portal (ShibDev). Shib Dev is a platform designed to empower developers to create and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) on the Shiba Inu blockchain. This innovative platform has been a key factor driving the increase in developer activity.

The launch of ShibDev has been a resounding success. Upon its release, more developers have shown great interest in building on Shibarium, which has been reflected in the growing number of smart contracts being deployed. Currently, the layer two blockchain boasts a total of 17,653 smart contracts, further indicating its growing prominence in the blockchain world.

Shiba Eternity Updates

Lucie also took the platform to share new developments regarding Shiba Inu’s Web 3 game, Shiba Eternity. The robust game development team has been able to roll out three major updates in order to enhance the gamer experience. According to Lucie, these updates include bug fixes and improvements to the user interface (UI), ensuring a smoother gaming experience.

In addition to the Shibarium updates, Lucie also highlighted new developments regarding Shiba Inu’s Web3 game, Shiba Eternity. The game’s development team has rolled out three major updates aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience for users. These updates include bug fixes and improvements to the user interface (UI), ensuring a smoother gaming experience.

Among the bugs addressed were issues with the loading screen, freezing problems when opponents disconnected from a match, and persistent effects for the Princess Andromeda card. Additionally, new leaderboards and a reward system have been introduced, further enriching the overall experience for Shiba Eternity players.

Looking back, the Web 3 game was open to holders of Shiba Inu-related NFTs, including Shiboshi and SHEboshi NFTs, on September 5th.
