- VeChain’s B3MO mascot is being developed into a live AI agent and will be one of the first agents listed on the upcoming TRUST Marketplace.

VeChain has been rapidly expanding its AI ecosystem this year after it pledged on its roadmap to enable AI agents to interact directly with the blockchain. In its latest move, the network is turning its B3MO mascot into a live AI agent, relying on its brand and popularity to capture a sizable market share of the on-chain agentic sector.
VeChain added B3MO to its roadmap this year as the heart of its broader VeBetter ecosystem. While initially presented as the sector’s mascot, it has since developed rapidly. Last month, the network revealed that B3MO would “evolve into a full coordination and intelligence layer.”
It has now been turned into a full AI agent for VeBetter processes, offering users insights across over 50 apps and automating dozens of processes.
The B3MO evolution from mascot to AI agent is one of the more interesting developments in our roadmap.

VeChain chose to expand B3MO’s capabilities rather than build out a new agent because it has gained prominence within its community. The network stated:
“It [B3MO] already has an established brand presence and community following, giving it a head start on the trust-building problem most new agents face.”
VeChain’s B3MO to Kickstart the Network’s AI Era
In its roadmap, VeChain pledged to build an intelligence layer for AI. This includes the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which now enables AI agents to interact directly with the VeChainThor blockchain. MCP allows agents to interpret on-chain state, initiate transactions and query smart contracts without requiring human intervention.
B3MO advances these capabilities by testing a specific type of AI agent focused on sustainability, incentivizing humans and offering transparent on-chain track records. VeChain says:
“If it works well, it demonstrates the marketplace model. If it runs into problems, those problems get solved before the broader marketplace launches.”
B3MO will be the first AI agent offered on TRUST Marketplace, a platform where users can hire agents to conduct tasks that go beyond sustainability. Vechain describes it as the Amazon for AI services, where the infrastructure, the network effect and the trust layer connect agents to users in need of their services.
On its roadmap, VeChain described the TRUST Marketplace as “the fulfilment of 10 years of infrastructure building and helps us take blockchain’s potential for real-world value creation and utility another step forward.”
The network has been consistent in its focus on AI agents in the past year. Founder Sunny Lu has revealed that he has been developing agents to assist in his daily tasks and believes VeChain will play a significant role in offering the trust layer for these agents.
